Allen Allensworth, the highest ranking black military officer in the 19th century, will speak to students as part of the IN THEIR OWN WORDS: Students Talking to History series at the African-American Art and Culture Complex at 762 Fulton St. in the Buriel Clay Theatre. He will show the film Allensworth, which depicts the State Historic Park which includes the all-black town Allensworth founed in 1908.
