Kentucky black entrepreneurship
There were 6,411 African-Americans self-employed in Kentucky in 2004, according to Social Security Administration estimates, 3.78% percent of the labor force. That compares with an 11.8% ratio among whites. Achieving parity would involve creating another 13,616 black firms. |
